About JM Polymers

In 2004 the owners of JM partnered with Mitsui Plastics (the “M” in “JM”) to form JM Polymers. By 2005, the business evolved to what is now a wholly owned U.S. company, doing business primarily in North America.

JM Partnered with regional manufacturers to design and build proprietary compounds for the automotive market using its private label. We now manufacture and market a full line of engineered plastics under the JM Polymers trade name. JM Polymers’ products got their start on the Chevy Blazer in 2005 and have now been used in nearly every major auto manufacturer’s vehicles worldwide.

In 2015, JM began development of a recycled carbon fiber/recycled polymer compound to address the growing desire for light-weight metal replacements in the automotive industry. Lightweighting is now a primary focus as auto manufacturers strive to increase fuel efficiency and battery life. FiberX2 is a low-cost alternative to prime carbon fiber materials, while maintaining excellent material properties.

JM Polymers is also a distributor of commodity and engineering grade plastic raw materials. We distribute prime, generic prime, and recycled resins. Please check our products page for more information.

We are committed to the plastics industry and maintain memberships in the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) chapters in Detroit, Chicago, Miami Valley (Ohio), and Pittsburgh. We encourage our customers, suppliers, and colleagues to participate in this worthwhile organization. Please see more on our SPE involvement here.

As our continued commitment to quality, JM Polymers earned
